Char Dham Yatra

Day 01 :
Delhi – Haridwar (Gateway to the Char Dham)

Your sacred Char Dham Yatra begins with an early morning drive from Delhi to Haridwar. On arrival, check in to the hotel and take some time to relax. Later, proceed to visit the revered Mansa Devi Temple, located atop the Bilwa Parvat, accessible by ropeway or trek. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Mansa and is believed to fulfill devotees’ wishes. In the evening, attend the spiritually uplifting Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a truly divine experience marking the perfect beginning of the Yatra.

Day 02 :
Haridwar – Barkot (Towards Yamunotri Dham)

After breakfast, drive to Barkot via Mussoorie, enjoying scenic mountain roads and lush valleys. Barkot lies on the banks of the Yamuna River and serves as the base for the Yamunotri Yatra. Yamunotri is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, who is believed to protect devotees from untimely death. Check into the hotel on arrival and rest in preparation for the trek.

Day 03 :
Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (First Dham Darshan)

Early morning drive to Janki Chatti and begin the trek to Yamunotri Temple (by foot/pony/palki at own cost). Yamunotri marks the origin of the sacred River Yamuna. Devotees take a holy dip in Surya Kund (hot water spring) and offer prayers to Goddess Yamuna. Boiled rice prepared in the hot springs is taken as Prasad. After darshan, trek back and return to Barkot.

Day 04 :
Barkot – Uttarkashi (Land of Lord Shiva)

After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi, located on the banks of the holy River Bhagirathi. Uttarkashi is known as the “Kashi of the North” and holds great importance for Lord Shiva devotees. In the evening, visit Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple, significant centres of Shaivism.

Day 05 :
Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (Second Dham Darshan)

Early morning drive to Gangotri. Gangotri is the sacred origin of the River Ganga, worshipped as Goddess Ganga. According to mythology, King Bhagiratha performed intense penance here to bring Ganga to earth for the salvation of his ancestors. Take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River and perform darshan at Gangotri Temple. Return to Uttarkashi in the evening.

Day 06 :
Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (Entering Kedarnath Region)

After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi, located in the Mandakini River valley. Guptkashi holds religious significance as the place where Lord Shiva is believed to have hidden from the Pandavas. Visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple and Ardhanarishwara Temple. Check in and rest for the Kedarnath Yatra.

Day 07 :
Guptkashi – Kedarnath (Third Dham Darshan)

Early morning drive to Sonprayag, then proceed to Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, begin the sacred trek to Kedarnath Temple (18 km). Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and holds immense spiritual importance. On arrival, check in to basic accommodation and attend the evening Aarti at the temple, a deeply divine experience.

Day 08 :
Kedarnath – Guptkashi (Return from the Holy Shrine)

Early morning, perform darshan at Kedarnath Temple and seek blessings. According to belief, a pilgrimage to Kedarnath cleanses one of past sins and grants spiritual liberation. After darshan, trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi for an overnight rest.

Day 09 :
Guptkashi – Badrinath (Towards the Abode of Lord Vishnu)

After breakfast, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Badrinath is one of the most sacred Vaishnava shrines, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple lies between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges along the Alaknanda River. On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.

Day 10 :
Badrinath Darshan – Mana Village – Joshimath / Rudraprayag

Early morning, take a holy dip in Tapt Kund before performing darshan at Badrinath Temple. It is believed that Lord Vishnu meditated here for thousands of years. Visit Mana Village, the last Indian village, and see Vyas Gufa and Bhim Pul, associated with the Mahabharata. Later, drive to Joshimath or Rudraprayag for an overnight stay.

Day 11 :
Joshimath / Rudraprayag – Haridwar

After breakfast, drive back to Haridwar. En route, witness sacred river confluences (Prayags), each holding immense religious significance. On arrival, check in and rest.

Day 12 :
Haridwar – Delhi (Yatra Completion)
